EMPLOYEE POLICIES

Asereth's Guidelines for Success

At Asereth we are excited that you have chosen to join our staff! We set high standards for all our employees to help them achieve success. The following information on our policies will help prepare you and make your transition smooth.

We do not guarantee a particular number of hours per pay period. You are responsible for your own transportation. We recognize that you are a contract employee, and whenever possible, we will meet your needs and desires, within reason.

I. QA/INFECTION CONTROL / SAFETY STANDARDS

In order to comply with The Joint Commission and client standards we require the following:

  1. Updated annual Infection Control and Safety Standards
  2. Maintenance of completed and updated personnel file
  3. Completion of a personal interview
  4. Orientation of assignment as necessary
  5. Adherence to job description and completion of a skills checklist
  6. Current State Licensure and/or Certification
  7. Professional and appropriate attire
  8. Every Pharmacist must report to their assignment with a white lab coat.
  9. Name tag with title
  10. The facility´s jewelry policy must be adhered to at all times.

II. CODE OF ETHICS / ETIQUETTE

In order to comply with The Joint Commission and client standards we require the following:

  1. Arrive on time to all assignments.
  2. In case of emergency, notify our office and hospital (or assignment location) immediately.
  3. Cancellation of assignments on a regular basis is unacceptable. Commitment to completion of an accepted assignment is one of the hallmarks of a professional person. Two cancellations in a three-month period may result in termination. "No show/No call" results in immediate termination. Our credibility rests upon your punctuality and performance. Please arrive on time.
  4. If you feel violated by anyone in any way at your assignment, please allow us to mediate for you.
  5. Use good judgment and tact in placing personal phone calls. Be brief and avoid long distance calls.
  6. Keep us informed of your availability. It is your responsibility to keep the office aware of the days and shifts you are available to work, on a weekly or monthly basis, (or as opportunity permits), so that we may accommodate you.
  7. Sign-in sheets and time sheets are your only record of time worked. Keep an adequate supply of Asereth Medical Services time sheets on hand. Sign in and out at the beginning and end of your shift.
  8. In the event of a personal emergency, never leave an assignment without notifying your supervisor and our office. If you have an emergency that necessitates leaving a work assignment, inform our office so that all necessary arrangements can be made for you and the client.
  9. Overtime may occasionally be necessary and must be approved and signed off by your supervisor before leaving your work assignment.
  10. If offered a position by the client, please inform the Asereth Medical Services office.
  11. Asereth Medical Services does not guarantee full time employment and furthermore, does not guarantee a minimum number of hours worked each week.
  12. Employee will receive a job description at the time of hiring. It is your responsibility to function within the limits of the stated job description, and all the state and federal laws governing the practice of pharmacy.

III. ORIENTATION

You will be provided with any required orientation required by your assignments.
